Spot Bitcoin ETF flows stay two-sided through the week

Creations and redemptions are both printing. Web3 Wired treats the two-way tape as the circuit, not a one-line pump.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs are still a two-way pipe. That is the markets lead on this bay this week. Creations print. Redemptions print. The useful copy is the mix, not a single green day.

A one-sided flow story is easy to write and usually wrong by Thursday. The desks that actually make markets in these products have been balancing both sides. Some sessions lean create. Some lean redeem. The circuit stays live either way.

Two ports, one asset

BlackRock and Fidelity remain the two names most of the public tape already knows. This note does not rank them. It notes that both still show two-way activity in the same week, which is what a mature wrapper is supposed to look like. Thin products go quiet. These have not.

Bitcoin spot itself can rip or fade while the ETF pipe stays mixed. That is not a contradiction. The wrapper is a cash and share machine. The coin is the underlying. File them as two ports on the same panel.

Rex Alba files this as a circuit note because the bay asked for a markets lead that would still read next week. A two-sided flow print does that. A one-hour candle does not.

What to keep on the bus

  • Daily create versus redeem, not a weekly slogan.
  • Whether any issuer goes dark for a full session.
  • Whether the coin move and the flow mix stay decoupled.

No claim that ETFs will buy every dip. No claim that they will sell every rip. The structure is two-sided, and that is the story this bay will keep plugging in until the mix actually changes.
